Not Everything Has to Be Perfect (But the Cookies Should Be)

Not Everything Has to Be Perfect (But the Cookies Should Be)

Some days, I wake up ready to take on the world. Other days, I’m holding my coffee like it’s a lifeline, hoping I remembered to defrost the sourdough dough and not burn the brownies—again.

Running Olivia’s Goodie Shop while raising a daughter, trying to feel human, and juggling more hats than I signed up for is… a lot. But it’s real. And it’s mine.

Lately, life’s been about embracing the mess and making something sweet out of it.

We’ve added homemade ice cream to our lineup—because sometimes a scoop of cookies & cream is better therapy than talking it out. We started the Sugar Route, a monthly dessert drop for local seniors, because kindness shouldn’t come with a price tag. And we’re building a retail section full of things that make people smile—even if just for a minute.

Is everything perfect? Not even close. But the cookies still are. The love is real. The cinnamon rolls are soft, and I’m still showing up—flour on my shirt and heart wide open.

So if you’re figuring things out one day at a time too, come visit. Sit a while. Have a brownie. No judgment, no filters, just good people and great dessert.
